Sexual Assault:
Support and advocacy services for people who have been
sexually abused and/or assaulted, as well as support
for others close to the one victimized. Services can
include: assistance at the hospital following a 911
or crisis call; individual or group support; information
on filing an Order For Protection (OFP) or Harassment
Restraining Order (HRO); court appearance assistance;
emergency safe housing; prevention/early intervention
education; other help based on the victim/survivor's
self-defined needs.
Children & Teens:
Support and advocacy services for minors (and their
caregivers) who have directly experienced or been affected
by abuse, inside their homes or elsewhere. Services
can include: individual support;
court assistance; prevention/early intervention education;
parenting information and guidance; safety planning
for children, youth, and/or parents; coordination of
assistance with schools and other agencies.
Domestic Violence:
Support and advocacy services for women and men who have been
battered emotionally, psychologically, sexually, and/or
physically by their significant partner. Services can
include: assistance at the hospital following a 911 or
crisis call; individual or group support; information
on filing an Order For Protection (OFP) or Harassment
Restraining Order (HRO); court assistance; safety planning;
emergency safe housing; exploring housing & financial
aid options; obtaining emergency food, clothing or household
items; prevention/early intervention education, or other
help as may be needed.
General Crime:
Support and advocacy services for people who have been
a victim of a crime not specifically covered under other
programs, as well as support for others close to the
one victimized. Services can include: victim's rights information;
assistance at the hospital following a 911 or crisis
call; individual support; information on filing for
Crime Victim Reparations, a Harassment Restraining Order (HRO),
or an Order For Protection (OFP) if appropriate to your situation;
court assistance; referrals to a variety of other resources;
or other help based on the victim's self defined needs.
Intervention Project:
Proactive outreach to victims of domestic violence following
contact with law enforcement. Advocates offer services
to victims as soon as it is safe to do so, and help
them learn what help may be available to them. All cases
are tracked through the criminal justice system, and
problematic patterns are discovered and brought to the
criminal justice system for resolving. |
