PROTECTION PLAN FOR TEENS
We hope that when you return home that you will be safe. According to statistics, unless the
abuser gets help, the battering may get worse and happen more often. Because we're concerned
about you and your safety, we ask that you take time to work out on paper what you will do if
you need protection. This plan will help you rehearse your course of action in your mind so
that when you need protection, you will act automatically. Please remember that you are welcome
to call the Hands of Hope Resource Center Crisis Line anytime at 632-4878 or 1-800-682-4547.

- Notifying your friends to call the police if they hear/witness fighting between you and your partner. Make your friends or family members aware of a code word that you will use if you are feeling unsafe and you are with your partner.
