ADVOCACY SERVICES FOR
CHILDREN AND/OR TEENS
Sometimes when children and youth witness or experience abuse, they become involved in police
investigations. Being interviewed by the police can be scary! Going for a medical examination
after an assault is too. In those situations, it is reassuring to have someone present for
support and information. The child and youth advocates at Hands of Hope Resource Center
are available to provide support and advocacy during these situations. As appropriate and when
requested, we also accompany children and youth to court hearings or help the youth and their
families understand the court process |
